Due to the recent (and not so recent) problems Hermes have been having in regards to either losing parcels, drivers signing for parcels and not delivering them & the big one... 2.5 million tracking barcodes being wrong, affecting hundreds (maybe thousands) of companies and small businesses, (yeah I know right!) we have decided that they're not a good enough courier to trust with our customers parcels.
We have chosen to move to Royal Mail, which I think is the best move for us right now. Not only are they much more reliable than Hermes, but the cost isn't a great deal more. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for!
All parcels are now being sent with Royal Mail, and soon you will have the option to choose from Royal Mail 48 Tracked or 24 Tracked at checkout. Until we get our time slot of pickups confirmed we will be using Royal Mail 48 Tracked for every parcel.
I want to thank everyone who's parcels were recently affected with the barcode issue due to Hermes for their unbelievable patience. This is why I love you!
To be honest this was the final nail in the coffin for Hermes, as the poor service has been gradually getting worse and worse over the last few weeks. It's such a relief to not be using their services anymore (it's been a stressful couple of weeks).
